The Barge House has been top of my brunch list for a while now so I was very excited when I went with friends! It’s located in Haggerston on the canal, so in summer it must be lovely! It was snowing when we went, equally as nice..
On weekends they sell a selection of amazing bread bowls. We all ordered different ones as were intrigued to see what they all tasted like. I went for ‘The Original’ which had sausages, bacon, leeks, mushrooms, melted cheese and egg on top! The flavours were amazing, really well cooked and flavoured. The veggie one also looked delicious, this had similar ingredients but filled with avocado. I do have to say I had a little food envy, the smoked salmon bread bowl looked insane! I will definitely be going for that one next time.
The restaurant had such good atmosphere that our brunch turned into a bottomless brunch- classic! The prosecco was delightful and the bloody mary’s looked great too! If you’re an avid bruncher I would definitely recommend The Barge House as it’s a little different to your usual avo and eggs! I realise this post is particularly short but I think the pictures are amazing enough to see how delicious this place really is!
